Synopsis
This lecture discusses the material science, development and clinical application of direct esthetic veneers with regard to esthetic rehabilitation of anterior and posterior teeth.
Delegates will be introduced to the correct placement of direct veneers with step-by-step clinical procedures, proper patient case selection and final cementation procedures will be discussed. In the posterior region Occlusion VDs are used as direct overlays in case of large carious lesions or when the occlusion needs to be raised.
Following this lecture, dentists will be able to treat cases from simple discolouration, midline diastemas to complex esthetic rehabilitation using a minimally invasive approach.
Hands-on
You will have the opportunity to work firsthand with under the expert guidance of our lecturers. You will learn how to place Veneers directly onto models following a step by step demonstrated procedures.

Dr. Desigar Moodley is a highly accomplished dental professional with over 30 years of experience. He holds multiple advanced degrees, including PhDs in Biomedical Sciences and Restorative Dentistry from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. His research has made significant contributions to the fields of bioactive materials, dental pulp stem cells, and dentine bonding agents.
Dr. Moodley’s clinical expertise spans aesthetic dentistry, endodontics, and oral surgery. As Director of EDGE Global Education and Chief Scientific Officer at Edelweiss Dentistry, he has been a leader in shaping global dental education and research. He has also served as a senior lecturer at the University of the Western Cape, furthering the advancement of restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
A respected speaker, Dr. Moodley has lectured worldwide on biomimetic restorative dentistry and CAD/CAM technologies. His extensive research output and awards, including the Hatton Award and Fellowships from the International College of Dentists, reflect his dedication to innovation and excellence in dentistry.
